Last Sunday Sermon-Text : John 2:1-11

Christian in Action

We are living in the modern days today wherein lives are made easier by using latest gadgets, computers, high-tech equipments and many other things whereas many Christians are compromised and fall out of God's will. So how Christian should act during certain situations without compromising to the pattern of this world. Jesus first miracles was turning water into wine which happened at Cana. Even He was in that wedding He did not mingled to have fun but used that opportunity to show His power that people may believe God.

How Christian should act during certain situations?
CELEBRATION/FEAST

I. We should know our MISSION (v. 1-2)
- our mission is to draw people to God.
- occasions,feast,celebrations are opportunities to talk to others about Christ and not use that to celebrate with them by drinking. smoking, gambling or any thing that can give a negative impact on them. We are the salt and light of the earth.

DIFFICULT SITUATIONS

II. We should know our POSITION (v.3-4)
- Mary knew her position. She was the mother of Jesus but this time she ask Jesus to help her because she knew jesus can do something about her problem.
What Mary did?
1. She told Jesus the problem.
2. She trust Jesus He can solve her problem.
3. She told others to trust and obey Jesus too.

During tough times of our life where did we go for help? If the answer is Jesus , did we really trust Him that He can do something? Did we tell others about it too?
we should know our position in Christ now because that can helps us not to worry when difficult situations arise.

SERVICE TO GOD
III. We should obey God's instruction:
- precise and accurate "fill the jars with water"
- without complaining "they did so...."
- to the best we can " they save the best until now..."
- faithfully

Conclusion:
Did you remember the feeling when you first Encounter God in your life ? Compare it now.. How is your walk now with God? Are you still in actions?
